New Gerbil
We got a new gerbil buddy for Digger last Wednesday (13th). She is a beautiful grey agouti. 10 months old. We named her Trixie. She is currently being split caged with Digger. Digger is about 9 months old. We got her from a local Breeder. The same one that we got Digger, Speedy and Gimpy from.

Do you have any idea what's killing your gerbils? Has your vet mentioned any infectious contagious disease?
I am sorry that you have lost so many of them in such a short time. They are the most interesting rodents to me...

The first one Speedy was just ill. The vet thought respiratory infection but I think there was something else. She was having seizures also. The other one I think might have been mites or just old. She was black. Very hard to see bugs. I still miss my little Speedy.
