"Gerbil-Ku"

An interesting topic came from the AGS message board on March 4, 2006 . See if you create Gerbil Haiku's.  The format for a haiku should be 5-7-5 (five syllables in first verse, seven second and back to 5 for the end.) There were some interesting responses. So I captured them and put them here for all of us to read. If you have a Gerbil Haiku that you would like to share, email me and I will be more than happy to post it here.

Pumpkin seeds hidden,
under a mound of aspen,
a treat not yet found.
-----------------------------------------------
Chew, play, eat, groom, sleep.
Wheel running is such great fun!
Gerbil paradise.
-----------------------------------------------
Nothing is cuter
Than gerbil pups first walking;
 New eyes see the world.
-----------------------------------------------
love chewing all day
toilet paper tubes to gnaw
sleep under the shreds
-----------------------------------------------
Pups

Pink, tiny, naked
Nursing, squeeking, exploring
Asleep in your palm
-----------------------------------------------
Like to Eat a Treat
Pumpkin Seeds a Tasty Treat
Yum, Yum Love to Eat
-----------------------------------------------
Furry Little One
Curious as You Can Be
Hand Comes Down. Jump on!
-----------------------------------------------
Gerbils like to run
The wheel spins round and round, fast!
Endless fun for all
--------------------------------------------
Treats, treats everywhere!
Dont get too fat on those seeds
But Mom, just one more?
--------------------------------------------
Cute Baby Gerbils
In a pile with Mommy
Cosy, warm, and safe.
